Kahr Firearms Group® “Zoot Suiting” Up for Shooting Industry Masters

Pomona, NY – It is long past the era of the once popular Zoot Suit, but for a few days during July, the American Zoot Shooters will be representing Auto-Ordnance, a division of Kahr Firearms Group. They will Zoot suit up to shoot the world famous “Tommy Gun” and the Auto-Ordnance WWII era 1911 handguns during the Shooting Industry Masters July 24-25 at Claythorne Lodge in Columbus, Kansas.

In a “Thompson Shoot-Out” Side Match, the Zoot Shooters team which includes: Steve Fowler “G Man”, Jason Huss “The Hustler”, and Henning Wallgren “The Undertaker”, will shoot at steel targets using Auto-Ordnance’s Thompson 1927A, “Tommy Gun”, as well as Thompson 1911 pistols, while fully attired in the Zoot Suit made famous during the 1920s to the 1940s. In addition, there will be a raffle for a Thompson T150D package which, besides the rifle, also includes a 30 rd. stick, a 50 round drum and a violin case. The proceeds from the raffle will support the First Shots program.

Also representing the Kahr Firearms Group, will be a 4-man team from Magnum Research including: Joby Goerges, director of manufacturing, Jim Tertin, R&D engineer, Brett Pikula, manufacturing lead, and Jesse Tertin, gunsmith. “We have all been in competitions before, but this is our first time at the Shooting Industry Masters, says Jim Tertin. “We feel that we have assembled a great shooting team to represent Magnum Research and we are really looking forward to this great opportunity to compete with other industry professionals in a fun environment.”
